Terms of Service
This Release applies to this current appointment and all future grooming appointments at
Classy Canine’s Wiggle Rumps and is effective immediately. This Release also covers any
one and/or multiple pet siblings under the same household.
PLEASE NOTE: CCWR HAS THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ANY SERVICES.
Failure to sign this release gives CCWR the right to terminate services.
I, ____________________________________________, hereby waive and release CCWR, its
employees, owners, and agents from all liability for any injury or damage that I, or my pet,
may suffer as a result of the pet grooming process. By my signature, I acknowledge and
agree that this release of liability applies to each of the following categories:
1. Vaccinations
All pets must show proof of current rabies vaccination prior to grooming. Bordetella and
DHLPP are recommended but not required. Vaccines should be given at least 2 days before
grooming to monitor reactions. Puppies must be cleared of all required vaccines and have
vet approval.
2. Medical Problems
Grooming may expose or aggravate hidden medical issues. If severe stress occurs, the
grooming process may be terminated.
3. Senior / Geriatric & Medically-Fragile Pets
“Senior” includes older pets and pets with medical conditions (heart, respiratory, seizure,
endocrine, arthritis, anxiety, lumps/masses, etc.). Grooming such pets carries increased
risk and is performed at the owner’s request and risk.
• Risks include skin tears, irritation, bruising, stress events, fainting, seizures,
pain flare-ups, overheating, and in rare cases, death.
• CCWR may alter or stop grooming for safety (short haircut, no de-matting,
breaks, hand-drying, muzzles, etc.). Partial or terminated services are billable.
• Recent veterinary exams/clearance are recommended and may be required.
• I authorize CCWR to act in my pet’s best interest if a medical concern arises.
• Owner assumes all risks and holds CCWR harmless for age/condition-
related events, except those caused by CCWR’s gross negligence or willful misconduct.
4. Tranquilizers CCWR will not tranquilize pets and will refuse pets showing signs of
sedation.
5. Emergency Veterinary Care & CPR
CCWR staff includes employees certified in Pet CPR and First Aid. Staff may provide
emergency first aid/CPR as needed, but this does not replace veterinary care.
• I authorize CCWR to seek veterinary treatment immediately at the nearest
available licensed veterinarian at my expense.
• CCWR will attempt to contact me, but if unreachable, I authorize CCWR to
act without delay in my pet’s best interest.
• I release CCWR from liability for emergency decisions made in good faith and
accept all related veterinary costs.
6. Female Dogs in Heat
Non-spayed females must be at least 2 weeks out of heat. CCWR does not accept females
in season. A $20 fee applies if discovered during grooming.
7–8. Fleas, Ticks & Parasites
Pets infested with fleas or ticks will be treated with flea shampoo only (no dips).
Effectiveness is not guaranteed. Extra charges may apply. starting at $40.
Pets must be free of contagious conditions (kennel cough, ringworm, mites, etc.). If found,
CCWR may stop services and owner is responsible for costs.
9. De-Matting
Severe matting may require shaving or de-matting, which carries risks (clipper burn, brush
burn, nicks, cuts). Extra fees apply. Owner assumes all risk.
10. Sensitive Skin
Some pets may develop irritation despite precautions. Owners must notify CCWR within 24
hours if issues arise. CCWR is not responsible for irritations worsened by the pet’s own
actions (licking, scooting, scratching) after leaving the salon.
11. Behavior & Aggression
I confirm my pet has not shown dangerous aggression. If my pet becomes aggressive,
unmanageable, or poses risk, CCWR may stop grooming immediately. I accept full
responsibility for injury, damage, or expenses caused by my pet’s behavior. Handling fees
may apply.
12–13. Cancellations & Deposits
A 24-hour cancellation policy is enforced. No-shows or late cancellations result in a $30
per-pet fee. Chronic no-shows may result in refusal of service.
A $25 deposit is required to secure an appointment. Deposits are forfeited for no-call/no-
shows unless cancelled at least 2 hours before the appointment.
14. Pick-Up & Abandonment
Pets must be picked up promptly. A late pick-up fee applies after 30 minutes. Pets not
collected by closing may be boarded overnight at owner’s expense. Abandonment may be
reported to animal control.
15. Injury Notification
CCWR will always do our best to handle pets safely and carefully. However, due to coat
condition, pet behavior, or hidden sensitivities, minor injuries (such as nicks, clipper/brush
irritation, or skin reactions) may not always be immediately visible during grooming.
• If we observe an injury during the appointment, we will notify you at pick-up
or by phone.
• If an injury or reaction becomes apparent after the pet goes home, please
notify CCWR within 24 hours so we can note it in your pet’s file.
• CCWR agrees to never conceal known injuries, but I understand that some
issues may only become visible later.
16. Refunds
No refunds will be given under any circumstances. A complimentary service may be
offered within 48 hours of the last service.
17. Photo & Video Release (Legally Binding)
I grant CCWR irrevocable permission to photograph/video my pet before, during, and after
grooming. Images may be used worldwide, royalty-free, in perpetuity for:
• Social media, website, advertising, promotions, training, education,
• Documentation of pre-existing conditions for legal protection.
I waive inspection/approval rights and release CCWR from all related claims.
18. Creative Grooming Consent (Colors, Dyes, Accessories)
At my request, CCWR may use pet-safe dyes, colors, stencils, chalks, extensions, or
accessories. I understand:
• Products may be temporary, semi-permanent, or permanent.
• Results vary in color, intensity, and duration.
• Staining of coat, skin, fabrics, or surfaces may occur.
• There is a small risk of allergic reaction/irritation.
• This service is voluntary and at my own risk.
I waive all claims related to creative grooming.
19. Professional Communication & Social Media Policy
CCWR values open communication. If concerns arise, I agree to contact CCWR first so
issues can be resolved professionally. Honest feedback is welcome, but I agree not to post
false, defamatory, or malicious statements about CCWR, its staff, or its services on social
media or review platforms. Knowingly false or harmful statements made with intent to
damage CCWR’s reputation may result in legal action.
20. Arbitration Clause
Any dispute under this contract will be resolved by final and binding arbitration through the
American Arbitration Association (AAA), enforceable under California law.
• Clients waive any right to class actions or jury trials.
• Arbitrators may award damages/injunctive relief, but no punitive or
exemplary damages.
21. Electronic Signatures
I agree that my electronic signature (typed name, initials, or digital signature captured on a
device) is valid and binding as a handwritten signature. I consent to conduct business
electronically with CCWR. This Release is enforceable under the U.S. E-SIGN Act and
California’s Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA).
Final Waiver & Acknowledgment
By signing below, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to all clauses 1–21 of
this Release. I understand that my single signature applies to all clauses as though I had
initialed each individually. I assume all risks and waive claims of personal injury, death, or
property damage connected with CCWR’s services, including but not limited to grooming,
bathing, creative grooming, temporary or permanent coat changes, or dissatisfaction with
results.
This Waiver supersedes all prior agreements and remains binding after services end. I
confirm I am over 18 and competent to sign this release.
